Have spent the last couple of weeks trying to improve my walking form. Rather then walking with arms straight, like one would in a comfortable stroll, I bend the arms at the elbow and pump in the rhythm of the walk ... when you do this correctly you can feel 'propelled'!
This adds a definite increase in the caloric burn on the walk, and the trick is to have your hands free, and relaxed.
That means my water bottle had to go ... and I went and got an old hydration hip pack (found it in my wifes' side of the walk-in closet) for a 20 oz. water bottle.
Works great!
